Way forward
As we get past the end of current financial year 2013-14, we are happy to inform all our members and supporters that during the last financial year, we have been able to disburse $17,000 to different individuals and organisations in India. This includes a totally helpless person who has difficulty to feed his family and himself, let alone to treat his cancer, a poor nursing student who has leukaemia, a poor lady with her 4 children who has nowhere to go after the death of her husband who met with a train accident while working as a private railway porter, to list the few. As usual the funds were collected by conducting quality programs, food festivals, memberships, and donations from our members and supporters.
Next year, we are marking our 20th anniversary of service. It was a long, hard and worthwhile journey of Ozindcare and many individuals were involved. Looking around, we may not be able to see many organisations with this many years of service in the community like Ozindcare, with only one motto of “helping the helpless”. We are proud of the fact that all our previous committee members are actively involved with Ozindcare even now, in one or the other way. Every individuals working for this charity are volunteers. That is the real strength of Ozindcare.
As we grow, we also receive plenty of requests for financial assistance both from Australia and India. It is not possible to meet all, but to try to help as many as possible, we need the continued support of our members and well-wishers. Join us when we reach a milestone of selfless service through this noble cause - “helping the helpless” |
